So I guess it's time to see how healed my foot is. After it started feeling better (and before the price went up on December 31) I bit the bullet and signed up for the
Rock 'n' Roll USA Half Marathon in March. You might recall that I did the full last year, and I would very much like to do it again at some point because the last three miles
kicked my butt. For now, I think the half is a better plan.

I found a ten-week training program on
Women's Health Magazine's twitter feed, and it has lots and lots of cross training. You only run three days a week, and I plan to have two swim days and a bike day in there too. I am anxious to see how this goes; I don't have a time goal for the race, but I don't want to just stagger through the thing, either.
Today was my first day of training. It was a swim. Since it's Sunday, I had a little more time at the pool, so I was able to do 46 laps for 1,656 meters. Happy lady right here.
