Today was supposed to be a rest day, but I hit up the pool because yesterday was supposed to be a pool day, but with the snow and the horrid freezing temperatures, I wimped out and exercised at home instead. So I just took a short swim. It was crowded (four of us, with one patient swimmer waiting on the deck, and a dude swimmer chatting up the lifeguard instead of swimming) (Ron, the usual lifeguard, was MIA, and there was a young lady lifeguard instead and this guy apparently had no intention of actually putting his head in the water) (I'm not judging, just making an observation).
One of the teenagers whom I make dinner for and drive places told me that it's annoying when I come home from the pool because I'm in such a good mood. That's what sucking chlorine will do for you, I guess.
Here's one thing that puts me in a good mood for swimming . . . it's my lap counter! My old method was stacking pennies at the end of the lane, and Ron the lifeguard would make fun of me for that. Check this out:
Now, if only this thing could help me with my breathing, I'd be all set.
You know what? This is day 25 of Janathon! I've been blogging and exercising straight for 25 days! Boy, am I tired.
I love it when they get annoyed because you're too happy. Some day they'll get their comeuppance!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on 25 straight days of exercise and blogging!
THANK YOU, TOD! I'LL TAKE HAPPY ANY DAY!
