In the FFX, the
Pacers running store puts on a nifty New Year's Eve race: the Fairfax 4-Miler. I've heard about it for a few years, but this was my year. It was the first event I've done since plopping my butt up on the shelf in the fall to let my foot get better.
And was it ever fun! It starts at 6 pm, so you have plenty of time to run it, get home, get cleaned up, and head to whatever other festivity you've got planned for the evening. A whole bunch of people in the neighborhood (and about 1200 others) got out and did it -- kids, families, a very peppy laborador, not to mention me and Red Felter Carrie Ann

I ran much, much harder than I had planned to, and felt it yesterday. And yes, I did get home, got cleaned up, and went to a party, where I proceeded to lean on anything I could and gratefully went home early to watch
Ryan Seacrest ring in 2013.
It was great to run with you, Anne!
